Helpful Hints: Additional Scrapbooking Project

Magic: Hat Trick
  1. Use diagrams on pages 54 of Magic™  to cut papers.
  2. Trim two Bamboo zip strips as follows: 6" and 9 1/2"
  3. Stamp top portion of Gratitude oval image with Goldrush ink three and a half times on stamp accent. Trim to create border
  4. Stamp branch image with Goldrush ink three times, making stamp cluster in center of C and right side of E
  5. Stamp leaf border image with Cocoa ink centered along journal pocket
  6. Assemble layout according to pattern in Magic on page 55, leaving center and right side of journal pocket free from adhesive for journaling insert
  7. Attach 9 1/2" zip strip along center of B and 6" zip strip along center of F
  8. Attach cut-out stamp border to left of photo on left page
  9. Use Liquid Glass to attach all Dimensional Elements accents and title, as desired
  10. Attach clear sparkles as desired
  11. Add journaling to 2 1/2" × 4 1/2" Colonial White cardstock and insert into journal pocket

  1. Tip: As you cut the paper, sort the pieces as indicated in the cutting guide so that each card has its own stack. For example, if the cutting guide labels a piece “Simply Said™,” place it in the stack for the Simply Said card.
  2. Use diagrams in Wishes™ on pages 17, 50, 57, and 100 to cut papers.
  3. Create the new pattern card as follows:
    • Stamp dandelion image with first and second generation Cocoa ink on D
    • Using corner rounder, create scalloped edge on right side of E
    • Trim right end of 1/2" × 4 1/2" Flirty raspberry B&T paper like a pennant
    • Assemble card according to the new pattern
    • Attach Flirty raspberry pennant to bottom of D
    • Attach zip strip accent and embellishments, as desired
  4. Create the Simply Said™ card as follows:
    • Stamp leaf border image with Cocoa ink on die-cut card flap
    • Assemble card according to pattern in Wishes on page 17, attaching D with 3-D foam tape
    • Attach two flower pins through foam tape under D
    • Attach embellishments as desired
  5. Create the Top It Off™ card as follows:
    • Stamp rose image with Goldrush ink on 2" × 2" Colonial White cardstock; trim
    • Stamp leaf image twice with Goldrush ink on back of 1 1/2" × 1 1/2" green brocade B&T; trim
    • Assemble card according to pattern in Wishes on page 50
    • Attach 1 1/2" × 3 1/4" green brocade B&T to card flap; attach zip strip accent
    • Trim bottom of 3/4" × 1 3/4" Flirty raspberry patterned B&T, 3/4" × 1" Flirty raspberry patterned B&T, 3/4" × 1 1/4" Goldrush cardstock, and 1" × 3/4" green brocade B&T like a pennant and attach directly below C
    • Attach cut-out rose and leaf accents to C using 3-D foam tape
    • Attach two flower pins through foam tape under cut-out rose
    • Attach embellishments as desired
  6. Create the Lower Layers™ card as follows:
    • Stamp “Happiness” sentiment with Cocoa ink on D
    • Assemble card according to pattern in Wishes on page 57
    • Attach one Dimensional Elements large rose using 3-D foam tape
    • Attach two flower pins through foam tape under Dimensional Elements rose
    • Attach embellishments as desired
  7. Create the Top Band™ card as follows:
    • Stamp branch image with first and second generation Goldrush ink on B
    • Using corner rounder, create scalloped edge on left side of 1/2" × 3 1/2" Goldrush cardstock
    • Assemble card according to pattern in Wishes on page 100
    • Attach 1" × 2" Flirty yellow plaid B&T paper to bottom of card flap, trimming along die-cut edge
    • Attach 1" × 2" Goldrush leaves B&T paper directly above Flirty yellow plaid B&T on outside flap of card, trimming along die-cut edge
    • Attach scalloped border to left of C
    • Attach three zip strips and embellishments as desired
