Magic: Hat Trick™

1. Use diagrams on pages 54 of Magic™  to cut papers.
2. Trim two Bamboo zip strips as follows: 6" and 9 1/2"
3. Stamp top portion of Gratitude oval image with Goldrush ink three and a half times on stamp accent. Trim to create border
4. Stamp branch image with Goldrush ink three times, making stamp cluster in center of C and right side of E
5. Stamp leaf border image with Cocoa ink centered along journal pocket
6. Assemble layout according to pattern in Magic on page 55, leaving center and right side of journal pocket free from adhesive for journaling insert
7. Attach 9 1/2" zip strip along center of B and 6" zip strip along center of F
8. Attach cut-out stamp border to left of photo on left page
9. Use Liquid Glass to attach all Dimensional Elements accents and title, as desired
10. Attach clear sparkles as desired
11. Add journaling to 2 1/2" × 4 1/2" Colonial White cardstock and insert into journal pocket

1. Tip: As you cut the paper, sort the pieces as indicated in the cutting guide so that each card has its own stack. For example, if the cutting guide labels a piece “Simply Said™,” place it in the stack for the Simply Said card.
2. Use diagrams in Wishes™ on pages 17, 50, 57, and 100 to cut papers.
3. Create the new pattern card as follows:
• Stamp dandelion image with first and second generation Cocoa ink on D
• Using corner rounder, create scalloped edge on right side of E
• Trim right end of 1/2" × 4 1/2" Flirty raspberry B&T paper like a pennant
• Assemble card according to the new pattern
• Attach Flirty raspberry pennant to bottom of D
• Attach zip strip accent and embellishments, as desired
4. Create the Simply Said™ card as follows:
• Stamp leaf border image with Cocoa ink on die-cut card flap
• Assemble card according to pattern in Wishes on page 17, attaching D with 3-D foam tape

5. Create the Top It Off™ card as follows:
• Stamp rose image with Goldrush ink on 2" × 2" Colonial White cardstock; trim
• Stamp leaf image twice with Goldrush ink on back of 1 1/2" × 1 1/2" green brocade B&T; trim
• Assemble card according to pattern in Wishes on page 50
• Attach 1 1/2" × 3 1/4" green brocade B&T to card flap; attach zip strip accent
• Trim bottom of 3/4" × 1 3/4" Flirty raspberry patterned B&T, 3/4" × 1" Flirty raspberry patterned B&T, 3/4" × 1 1/4" Goldrush cardstock, and 1" × 3/4" green brocade B&T like a pennant and attach directly below C
• Attach cut-out rose and leaf accents to C using 3-D foam tape
• Attach two flower pins through foam tape under cut-out rose
• Attach embellishments as desired
6. Create the Lower Layers™ card as follows:
• Stamp “Happiness” sentiment with Cocoa ink on D
• Assemble card according to pattern in Wishes on page 57
• Attach one Dimensional Elements large rose using 3-D foam tape
• Attach two flower pins through foam tape under Dimensional Elements rose
• Attach embellishments as desired
7. Create the Top Band™ card as follows:
• Stamp branch image with first and second generation Goldrush ink on B
• Using corner rounder, create scalloped edge on left side of 1/2" × 3 1/2" Goldrush cardstock
• Assemble card according to pattern in Wishes on page 100
• Attach 1" × 2" Flirty yellow plaid B&T paper to bottom of card flap, trimming along die-cut edge

1. Use diagrams on pages 122 of our Magic™ how-to book 
2. Stamp Christmas tree in Olive ink on 3" × 2" Olive cardstock stamping accent. Trim around edges of stamped image, trimming off the star topper.
3. Stamp first part of title on C.
4. Stamp flourish border image in Olive ink, centered on F.
5. Stamp poinsettia image in Cranberry ink along stamped border, spacing the images about 1 1/2" apart.
6. Cut 2 1/4" circle from H using template provided in Magic™.
7. Sponge edges of bases, photos, and all paper pieces with Cashmere ink.
8. Attach layout pieces and photos, using 3-D foam tape as desired to add dimension.
9. Stamp remainder of title in Olive ink on base page directly below G.
10. Stamp bracket shape in Olive ink in upper left portion of right page.
11. Stamp “I’ll never forget” sentiment in Cranberry ink directly below bracket, masking to stamp on two lines.
12. Attach glittery rub-ons and red sparkles to both pages.
13. Attach cut-out Christmas tree accent.
14. Add journaling, attaching 1/4" × 2" accent strips at top and bottom.

1. Trace ornament bases on corresponding papers; then cut along traced lines and attach papers to ornaments.
   • Alternatively, coordinating shapes for the ornaments can be cut using the Cricut^® Art Philosophy cartridge. Information about shapes and sizes can be found on the packaging of the Dimensional Elements Ornaments.
2. Sponge remaining surfaces and edges of ornaments 1, 4, 7 and edges of ornament 2 in Olive ink.
3. Sponge remaining surfaces of ornaments 3 and 5 in Cranberry ink.
4. Sponge remaining surfaces and edges of ornament 6 in Cashmere ink.

Ornament 1

1. Stamp snowflake in Cranberry ink in diagonal rows on ornament 1 base Cranberry cardstock.
2. Trim 1 1/2" of Cranberry baker’s twine; wrap and tie to top layer of ornament 1.
3. Attach ornament 1 top layer to base using 3-D foam tape. Add red Glitz glitter gel as shown.

Ornament 2

1. Apply postcard glittery rub-on to ornament 2 top layer and trim out center.
2. Attach 3 Sparkles to ornament 2 top layer.
3. Attach photo to inside of ornament 2 layer and trim edges.
4. Attach ornament 2 layer to ornament 2 base using 3-D foam tape.

Ornament 3

1. Attach red Sparkles to ornament 3 top layer directly over punch-out circles.
2. Cover surface with red Glitz glitter gel as shown. Set aside to dry.

Ornament 4

1. Apply snowflake and flourish rub-ons to ornament 4. Add red Glitz glitter gel as shown.

Ornament 5

1. Stamp flourish in Cranberry ink on ornament 5 layer. Add red Glitz glitter gel and Sparkles as shown.
2. Attach ornament 5 layer to ornament 5 base using 3-D foam tape.

Ornament 6

1. Apply border rub-on to ornament 6 top layer as shown.
2. Punch circles from ornament 6 layer.
3. Attach ornament 6 layer to ornament 6 base. Add Sparkles to punched-out holes.

Ornament 7

1. Punch circles from ornament 7 top layer.
2. Attach ornament 7 top layer to base and add purple Sparkles.
3. Cut six 3" lengths of baker’s twine in desired colors. Tie around tops of ornaments as shown.

2. Cut the remaining papers of choice, as desired, making sure to cut twelve each of the following sizes: 2 3/4" × 2 3/4", 1/2" × 2 3/4", and 1/4" × 2 3/4"; feel free to add additional paper embellishments as desired.
3. Sponge corners and edges of both blocks and all papers with Black ink.
4. Sponge surface of Dimensional Elements numbers with ink of choice; it is best to use one color for all. You will need two of numbers 0, 1 and 2 and one each of numbers 3–9.
5. Stamp as desired.
6. Embellish, as desired.

• This workshop project is ideal for creating as a group or on your own and takes approximately 1 hour to complete. Individual completion times may vary.
• Create the layout prior to the workshop and determine how you’d like to teach the steps in a workshop setting.
• Print photos on true photo paper for optimal flexibility.
• We recommend the following adhesives:
• Bonding Memories^® Glue for photos
• Liquid Glass for added security for canvas sticker
• Glue Dots^® for buttons
• Unroll scroll with spool on right; weigh ends down with heavy objects to help the scroll lie flat while creating.
• Allow scroll to dry completely in flat position before rolling up and securing with bow. Note that some wrinkling of paper and photos is natural when scroll is rolled and unrolled.

Magic: Secret™

1. Use diagrams on pages 120 of our Magic™ how-to book and this cutting guide to cut papers.
2. To leather paper: lightly spray A with water, crumple into a ball and flatten out; repeat as desired. Set aside to dry under a heavy, flat surface. When dry, sponge edges and ridges with Saddle ink.
3. To make stamped accents: Stamp large flower base image with Créme Brulee ink. Stamp large flower image on large base image with Sorbet ink. Stamp medium flower and small flower images with Sorbet ink. Trim images.
4. To make scalloped accents: Use corner rounder on one side of 6" × 1/2" and 4" × 1/2" accents.
5. Stamp border image repeatedly on B, E, and F with Saddle ink.
6. Trim one end of journal piece like a pennant and add journaling, as desired.
7. Sand distress C and D diagonally left to right, then again right to left creating a crosshatch pattern. Sand distress edges of photos, if desired.
8. Sponge edges of all papers, bases, cutout accents, and photos with Saddle ink, if desired.
9. Assemble layout according to Magic: Secret™ pattern on page 121 in our how-to book, rotating left page clockwise 90 degrees and right page counter-clockwise 90 degrees. Replace title with embellishment cluster. Stamp sentiment on C with Saddle ink.
10. Replace journaling with photo, and add stamped title and embellishment cluster to D.

To create the featured bonus project, follow the helpful hints outlined below and the assembly instructions in our Wishes™ how-to book.

1. Tip: As you cut the paper, sort the pieces as indicated in the cutting guide so that each card has its own stack. For example, if the cutting guide labels a piece “Stay Left™,” place it in the stack for the Stay Left card.
2. Use diagrams in Wishes™ on pages 53, 55, 78, and 119 and this cutting guide to cut papers.
3. Cut zip strips with a pennant at the end as follows:
   • “Forever Friends” (New Pattern)
   • “Thanks For Everything” (Stay Left™)
   • “You Make Me Smile” (Delightful Dots™)
4. For Gallery™ card, lightly spray B with water, crumple into a ball and flatten out; repeat as desired. Set aside to dry under heavy, flat surface. When dry, sponge edges and ridges with Saddle ink.
5. Sand distress Saddle bases, Cashmere base, and Sorbet pieces left to right; then again right to left creating a crosshatch pattern.
6. Stamp 8" × 3" Colonial White accent piece as follows:
   • One large flower base with Créme Brulee ink, stamp large flower on top with Sorbet ink
   • One large flower base with second generation Sorbet ink, stamp flower on top with Sorbet ink
   • One medium flower with Saddle ink
   • One medium flower with Créme Brulee ink
   • One small flower with Créme Brulee ink
   • One small flower with Sorbet ink
7. Trim all flower images.
8. Sand distress and sponge edges of all papers, bases, and cutout accents with Saddle ink.
9. Create the New Pattern card as follows:
   • Stamp stitched edge of border image in Saddle ink on left side of A and B.
   • Stamp full border image in Créme Brulee ink across middle of C
   • Attach “Forever Friends” zip strip to C
   • Assemble card according to the new pattern
   • Attach burlap ribbon, Sorbet large base flower, and Créme Brulee small flower accents
   • Attach embellishments as desired
10. Create the Delightful Dots™ card as follows:
    • Stamp stitched edge of border image in Saddle ink on left side of A
    • Stamp bitty flower image on left side of A with Créme Brulee ink
    • Stamp large flower image in center of B
    • Attach burlap ribbon
    • Assemble card according to pattern in Wishes on page 53
    • Attach “You Make Me Smile” zip strip
    • Attach embellishments as desired
11. Create the Stay Left™ card as follows:
    • Stamp full border image in Sorbet ink vertically across right side of B
    • Stamp small flower in Créme Brulee ink on D
    • Stamp bitty flower in Sorbet ink on D
    • Assemble card according to pattern in Wishes on page 55
    • Attach burlap ribbon, Saddle medium flower, and “Thanks For Everything” zip strip
    • Attach embellishments as desired
12. Create the Sentiment Secured™ card as follows:
    • Stamp stitched edge of border image in Saddle ink around entire border of A
    • Stamp bitty flower in Saddle ink on B
    • Stamp “Good Times” sentiment with Saddle ink on C
    • Assemble card according to pattern in Wishes on page 78
    • Attach Créme Brulee medium flower using 3-D foam tape on B
    • Trim two 2 3/4" strips from serged edge of burlap ribbon
    • Attach embellishments as desired
13. Create the Gallery™ card as follows:
    • Stamp stitched edge of border image in Saddle ink on right side of A
    • Stamp full border image in Saddle ink across top of C
    • Stamp “You’re Super” sentiment with Sorbet ink on bottom right of C
    • Assemble card according to pattern in Wishes on page 11
    • Stack Créme Brulee large base flower, Cottage Assortment accent, and small Sorbet flower; attach to card
    • Attach embellishments as desired
