Convention has come and gone, it was last week in Anaheim, CA at the Disneyland Hotel! Yes, look what we missed! No, I did not get to go, we are in the process of moving into our new house! The AF has moved us again, from VA to OK! Yeah! We are so excited to be back in OK.
The good of OK, first: my parents live in the same town we do, less than a mile away. My sister and niece will be here for a year also (her husband is deployed). I already know my way around and have friends still from high school. It is a small town and no traffic. To get from north of town to south of town = 15 minutes, to get from east of town to west of town = 15 minutes. There are 3 Sonics in town, a few dozen restaurants, the best shoe store (my dad owns it, Brown's Shoe Fit, Co.), and I have free babysitting for the next 3 years. Hobby Lobby - oh how I love thee! Plus, my dear husband gets to do what he loves most, be in the air flying, again.
Oh yeah, I am the only CTMH consultant in town (I think.)
The bad - no Target, no mall (you can't call the mall here a mall, with only about a dozen stores), the commissary is so small that you can blink and not realize you have been through the whole thing!
I am truly going to love it here, my house might be 2000 sq. ft. smaller than the last one, but we will be saving so much money on utilities, once the temperatures get back into the 90's. Yes, I said 90's. We have been in triple digits for the majority of the last month! YIKES!!!

Have you seen the stamp set Fill in the Blank D1465?
This stamp set is extremely versatile. Look at that flower in the top left corner. You can drag it out and reshape it, so that it looks like a cloud. Need a box for journaling, check out the stamp in the bottom left corner. Do you want to highlight someone or something specific, us the arrow!

To create this card:
For this card, we cut out the large butterfly stamp image a few times and then layered it to make it dimensional. Here are the steps so you can make it yourself: - per the Close to my Heart website.
Stamp butterfly with Desert Sand ink on Colonial White cardstock. Using a craft knife, cut along wings, leaving body intact. Mount cardstock piece on Cocoa cardstock and Bamboo B&T paper. Pop up wings using 3-D foam tape.
Stamp butterfly again on Crystal Blue B&T paper. Cut out entire image, omitting body. Mount on Colonial White butterfly using 3-D foam tape.
Stamp butterfly a third time on Sweet Leaf B&T paper. Cut out entire image, including body, and mount on Crystal Blue butterfly with 3-D foam tape.
