Happy New Year 2010!
2010 is upon us! I can't help but think about all of the wonderful things in store for our family in the upcoming year.
Tim will have a new job, the kids, new friends, and me - new friends and family near. We are waiting impatiently for our new assignment with the Air Force. It is tough. I have the travel bug and really want to move back to Europe. I also want to live near family. My parents live in a town with an Air Force base - so that is an option also. My sister and her family are waiting also for their next assignment. There is a chance that we could be stationed together. Hmm - how often does that happen in the military world. There is good bad and ugly about all 3 of the assignment choices. We are waiting for the spring assignment cycle announcements - hopefully in March!
We had a wonderful Christmas. My parents were here to spend time with us. While they were here this time, they got to play in the snow with the kids. How fun!! My Dad has a new video camera and taped the kids flying down the hill, here by our house.
Here is a family picture in front of the tree, before Christmas Eve Mass. We went over to a friends house and spent a wonderful evening with close friends.

Busy Time of the Year!
We picked up our tree over the weekend also. We have it almost all decorated. The trees upstairs in the kids' rooms are all decorated and they love it it.
We have a busy weekend. Saturday evening Tim is having his office over for a small party. Then on Sunday, we are having Caleb's 8th Birthday party! Wow, where does time go? Eight years ago, we brought home for the very first time a new little bundle. How things have changed since then!
We also found out that we are moving this summer. Our choices include: Vance AFB, Enid, OK, Anywhere in Germany/Europe, and Scott AFB, IL (just outside of St. Louis)! We will hopefully find out around Spring Break, what the Air Force has in store for us!
GO Air Force, BEAT Army/Navy! Woo Hoo

Disney Autographs
I finished up Kylies Autograph book from Disney! Don't you just love how it turned out? It was so much fun to make!
I used, the My Creations 3-Wing Binder (Z1141z) and added more pages of White Daisy Cardstock, for all of the autographs. I covered it with the Daydream paper kit (X7108B), Dimensional Elements for the DISNEY lettering, then after using the blush ink pad (Z2106) I used Prisma Glitter on the letters. For the stamping of autographs I used Giggle Lowercase (D1137), and Liquid Glass (Z679). On the side I placed a Just Blooms Paper Flower (Z1033) and a blush button from the Winter Craft Buttons (z1284) collection.

Kylies First Day of Preschool
The boys love school and their teachers. I am so thankful. Caleb was hoping on his first day of school, since it was raining that school would be canceled. He is very happy with his teacher!
Cameron is just full of energy and life - crazy wild little man!
Caleb and Kylie started their soccer last weekend and Cameron starts flag football on Saturday. He is so excited. I will miss it since I have to be at 2 different soccer games.

Camera Charger and Philly
Last night we walked down to the Philadelphia Art Museum. The famous steps from Rocky are there. We all ran up to the top and I took a picture of Tim and the kids with their arms up like Rocky.
Today, we walked all around Philadelphia, we saw the City Hall Building, Liberty Bell, we saw where the Declaration of Independence was approved, on July 2, 1776. On July 4th 1776, Congress revised and in August, it was signed. Did you know, that the Capitol of the US was first in New York, then Philadelphia, and of course, now Washington DC. We sat in the room where George Washington stepped down as President and John Adams took the oath of the Presidency along with his Vice President Thomas Jefferson. We also walked through Betsy Ross's house (free with a military ID.) We saw where Benjamin Franklins house stood at Benjamin Franklin square. There really isn't much there anymore. There is a trolley that runs quite a route - $10 for all day for a family of 4 and if you under 5 free! It was great to get back to the hotel quickly at the end of the day.
To make the kids happy, at the end of the day we played Putt Putt and went to the park.
Tomorrow, we are going to go to Church at the Cathedral across the street. I sure hope my battery in my camera holds up. I love stained glass window in Church's. I think we may go to Valley Forge and heady home, too.
We have had a pretty good weekend and enjoying checking off another box on our list of things to do before our move, next year.

Workshop Stamp Sets

Twitterpated
Do you have fall pictures? They would look great with this paper! What about a giant pile of leaves and running and jumping into that! What a great picture.
Club is Wednesday, September 23 at 9:30 am or Saturday, September 26th at 6:30 pm. Contact me today, to save you spot! Space is limited!
This is the first layout for the workshops on the go! Every little dot on the sorbet paper has liquid glass. The chocolate cardstock has random stamping from the stamp set that comes with the paper pack. There are dimensional elements, twill, brads, stamping and ribbon used! Talk about a great deal!
This is the second layout. The wrinkled ribbon didn't stay for me. So, I ended up making it flat. I really couldn't figure anything else out. I used, the dimensional elements, liquid glass, stamping, twill and brads on this too!
This is layout number 3. The workshops on the go comes with directions for only 2 layouts now. I have been doing 3 layouts in my workshops in the past, so I got out my Imagine book and flipped through and voila! I again, used dimensional elements, stamping, brads, liquid glass, but no ribbon.
Last but not least, here are the card designs with the new workshop! I had so much fun working on this! Same thing here, liquid glass, stamping, ribbon, brads and dimensional elements!
I love this paper! I am still working on the pictures to add to these layouts! I need to get cracking!!

The Last Month
My oldest son had his last day of school on June 18. We packed up the car and headed out of Dodge. We went to MI and spent some time with Tim's family. We had a nice time and even made it up to the boat for a few days of no computer, cell phone, nor television! It was nice and relaxing.
Tim and I were able to escape for a few days to Las Vegas for a wedding. We had a wonderful weekend, we left the kids with my in-laws.
We got home and my oldest started Boy Scout camp for a week. The two little ones stayed home with me and my Sister, her Husband, and new baby arrived the next day. Then my Dad came in also for a few days. It was so much fun to see my kids with a new baby. They truly love her.
Last week, we were in Orlando. We had lunch the first day at Epcot with: Belle, Aurora, Ariel, Snow White, and Cinderella. We also had our pictures taken with Goofy, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and almost every other character from Disney you can think of! Including Cinderellas, Step Sisters and Step Mother and three of the new Disney Fairies. We went to Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Blizzard Beach, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios. We also took a day and went to Sea World.
We were very unimpressed with Sea World this time. With the Disney parks, you are allowed to bring in a small cooler with drinks and food - just no glass. Sea World absolutely not. Bottled water is $3.00 along with all the other drinks, plus, the military discount, is only for a family of four, we are five and Disney has the fast pass to get you on a ride a little earlier, or at a specific time, so that you don't have to wait so long, you have to pay for this privileged at Sea World.
Anyway - I don't have any desire to go back to Sea World for a few years. Disney, though, I am always ready to again.

Summer Reading
If you have any suggestions for summer reading, please let me know!!
Campaign for June
As you know, Close To My Heart has a special campaign every month. In June, Close To My Heart is offering their biggest campaign, the Deal a Day campaign. There will be something special every day of the month. But, there is only one way to find out about the special. You have to go to my website, daily, www.elissa.myctmh.com.
Here are the FACTS about the campaign:
Each special will run for 23 hours, 11 AM to 10 AM EST.
There are two different types of deals offered:
- Receive a free item with a qualifying purchase. On 24 of the 30 days in June, you can receive a specially-selected current product absolutely free (tax does apply on free items in the US) when you purchase a My Acrylix® stamp set, size A, B, C, D, or E (Excluding Stamp of the Month and customized or K-size sets). The free product will change daily and there can be only one free item per order.
- Receive 50% off or more on “Great Goodies” boxes. On 6 of the 30 days in June, you can purchase a “mystery” box filled with “Great Goodies.” Contents will vary by box and include both current and retired favorite stamp sets, paper packs, embellishments, and other great products. The six “Great Goodies” boxes will all have different pricing of at least 50% off retail, with some at even deeper discounts! Note that we have made every effort to differentiate the 6 “Great Goodies” options so you can purchase boxes on different dates and receive a wide variety of differing products! No qualifying purchase is required on the days a “Goodies” box is the deal; discounted shipping is also available when orders meet all Deal-a-Day guidelines.
Note that in order to give shoppers the best possible deal on products and shipping, Deal-a-Day purchases must include ONLY Deal-a-Day items and nothing else.
- On “Great Goodies” days, only one “Great Goodies” box and no other items may be checked out in a single transaction.
- On the “free item with qualifying purchase” days, only one stamp set and the free item may be checked out in one transaction.
If there are additional or different items in the cart, the system will not recognize the purchase as a “Deal-a-Day” purchase and neither the “deal” nor the discounted shipping will be accepted.
In order to receive this great shipping discount to add to the great product deals, ONLY Deal-a-Day qualifying items may be in the shopping cart at checkout.
Discounted pricing by area is as follows:
Free Items Shipping/Handling
Includes one stamp set and the free item = $3 US
The $3 US rate applies for all non-continental
Shipping will be based on the price of each Great Goodies box, but will be deeply, deeply discounted and represent only a fraction of the value of the contents. Shipping pricing will be clearly posted at checkout on each day that a Great Goodies box is offered.
If you want to purchase additional items, you must purchase those items separately in order to get the special shipping rate. If you want to order multiple campaign items, you must place multiple orders, to get the great shipping rate.
